Johan, a border police officer in Helsingborg, dreams of a promotion, ideally to the FBI. When Rasmus, his unassuming counterpart in Helsingør, reports an armed man boarding the ferry to Sweden, Johan sees his big break. Rasmus, eager to end his shift and propose to his girlfriend, reluctantly joins Johan in pursuit. As they chase the gunman, they stumble upon what could be the corruption scandal of the century.
